Biometric identification: trends and application scenarios

On August 20, 2020, within the preparation for the XXVI International Forum of Security & Safety Technologies, an online conference on biometric identification: development prospects and industrial cases was held. Typical examples, software platforms, recommendations for integrators and installers and successful practices.

During the event, customers and manufacturers discussed modern solutions: face recognition, speech and voice recognition, fingerprint recognition, exchanged views on identification as a service and presented cases and examples of practical applications of biometric identification. The conference was attended by 291 managers and specialists from various enterprises and industries.

Anatoly Solovyov, director of the unified biometric system project office, Rostelecom, explained why it’s important to comply with information security.

Yaroslav Shuvaev, head of the AK Bars Digital Technologies center of internal innovation shared his experience of implementation the biometric ecosystem called "Pass-Payments-Loyalty" using facial recognition.
