Moscow took the 18th place in the Top100 Super Cities Services Globalization Index (TSGI) global rating of digital transformation of cities by the Tholons international consulting agency. Over the year, Moscow has improved its position in the rating of super-cities by five positions at once (23rd place in the top100 of the TSGI 2019 rating).

"Moscow has been actively developing the digital environment over the past years, introducing innovations in various areas of city life, creating electronic services for citizens and business, - said Vladimir Efimov, deputy mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations - The success of the Russian capital in this direction is confirmed by the promotion in the rating where Moscow is on a par with Los Angeles, Johannesburg and Santiago and ahead of Dubai, Tokyo and Seoul."

In addition to Moscow, St. Petersburg is also included in the rating of super cities, however this year it took only 51 lines, although a year earlier it was on the 32nd position of the rating.

According to the Tholons rating for assessing the digital transformation of countries - Top50 TSGI Digital Nations, Russia took seventh place in 2020, as it did a year earlier. The first place in this rating is occupied by India not for the first time, the second is the United States and the third is Brazil. The top ten also includes Canada, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Mexico, Vietnam and Singapore.
